The 2024 Paris Paralympics concluded on Sunday 8th October 2024 with China topping the medal count. They grabbed 94 gold medals in total. Great Britain came in second with 49 golds, and the US took home 36. Qatar's Ali Arshad placed seventh in the 800m wheelchair race (T34 group). Ali Radi Arshid and Sara Hamdi Masoud represented Qatar at the 2024 Paralympics. Arshid took part in the Men's 100m and Men's 800m wheelchair races, while Sara competed in the women's shot put. Sara is the first female athlete to represent Qatar at the Paralympic Games. She's no stranger to success, having won silver in the F33 shot put at the 2016 Rio Paralympics. She also bagged silver at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships in London, gold at the 2014 Asian Para Games in Incheon, and silver at the 2018 Asian Para Games in Jakarta.
