The Doha Metro is a major public transport system in the State of Qatar, designed to provide fast, safe, and convenient travel for residents and visitors. Doha Metro Lines

Doha Metro Timings
The Doha Metro operates on fixed daily schedules to serve commuters across the State of Qatar. During peak hours, trains arrive every 3 to 5 minutes, while during off-peak hours, services run every 5 to 8 minutes, ensuring convenient and frequent travel. Doha Metro Fare & Travel Cards
The Doha Metro offers affordable fares with two travel classes: Standard and Gold Club. In Standard Class, a single journey costs QAR 2, while a day pass costs QAR 6. The Gold Club provides a premium experience with wider seats, where a single journey costs QAR 10 and a day pass costs QAR 30.
Children under the age of 5 can travel free on the Doha Metro. However, children below 9 years are not allowed to travel alone and must be accompanied by a passenger aged 16 or older with a valid travel card. Children aged 5 years and above are required to pay the regular metro fare according to the rules. The Doha Metro fare structure is the same for both children and adults, with no separate discounted pricing.
To use the metro, passengers need a rechargeable travel card. The Standard Travel Card costs QAR 10, and the Gold Club Card costs QAR 100. These cards can be purchased and recharged at ticket machines, station counters, or through mobile apps, making travel convenient and cashless.
Metro Feeder Services (MetroLink & MetroExpress)
The Doha Metro provides additional connectivity through MetroLink and MetroExpress services. MetroLink is a free feeder bus service that connects metro stations to nearby residential and commercial areas, making first-mile and last-mile travel easier. MetroExpress is an on-demand ride service available in selected zones, allowing passengers to book shared rides to and from metro stations using a mobile app. Both services are designed to improve accessibility and are typically free for passengers with a valid metro travel card.

Future Expansion – Blue Line
The Doha Metro is expected to expand with the planned Blue Line as part of future development phases. The Blue Line is planned to run from Hamad International Airport Terminal 2 to the West Bay area, improving connectivity between the airport and major business districts. The new line is expected to have a total length of approximately 17.5 km, providing faster and more convenient travel for passengers. Once completed, the Blue Line will further enhance the metro network and support Qatar’s growing transportation needs.
