Qatar’s swimmers delivered an outstanding performance at the 4th Arab Aquatics Championships for Age Groups in Morocco, clinching two gold and two silver medals. Rising star Adam Morsy made history by winning gold in the 50m breaststroke for the 13–14 age group, setting a new Arab record with a time of 31.23 seconds. In the “general” category, Mohamed Mahmoud also struck gold in the same event, finishing in 28.53 seconds to secure Qatar’s third gold of the tournament.
Adding to the success, Hamza Shaalan captured the silver medal in the 50m breaststroke for the 17–18 age group, clocking 29.13 seconds. The Qatari relay team, featuring Ahmed Diab, Abdullah Al-Ghamry, Aziz Ismail, and Shaalan, also earned silver in the 4x200m freestyle, completing the race in 7:55.80 minutes. With 19 Arab nations competing across swimming, water polo, and open water events, Qatar’s impressive medal haul highlights the country’s growing strength in regional aquatics.
