From a formal Punjabi village, Gurmukhi Singh embarks on a pilgrimage to Sri Hazur Sahib by bus. His fellow travelers include Gurdial Singh, a father reunited with his son Sehaj who came back to Punjab from Canada after many years, Santi and her daughter-in-law, Kamal, a blind man, Sadhu Singh, a loner shunned by society, and a couple hoping for a son. As their journey unfolds, the individual prayers (Ardaas) of each pilgrim come together ending in a shared prayer fulfillment of everyone.
