Mandaadi is an action drama set against the coastal communities and traditional sailboat racing culture of Tamil Nadu. The film follows Muthukaali (Soori), a former boat racer who is forced to confront his past when circumstances pull him back into the sport he once left behind. As tensions rise between rival groups, Muthukaali becomes involved in training a young team for a demanding festival boat race, where knowledge of the sea, wind and ocean currents can determine victory.
